Council of Human Resources Associations
Working
for you
The Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations (CCHRA) is
a collaborative effort of human resources associations from across
Canada. The CCHRA represents more than 33,000 professionals including
over 17,000 Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRP’s).
The
CCHRA’s mission is to be the national voice on the enhancement
and promotion of the human resources profession across Canada and
internationally through established and credible designations. In
less than 15 years the CHRP designation has become the symbol of
excellence in human resources management.
IMPORTANT
CHANGE- NEW DEGREE REQUIREMENT AS OF JANUARY 1, 2011
As of January 1, 2011, CHRP Candidates – those who have passed
the National Knowledge Exam™ (NKE) - will require a minimum
of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, CEGEP or
university in order to register for the National Professional Practice
Assessment™ (NPPA) and qualify for the CHRP designation.

APPOINTMENTS
Lynn
Palmer, MBA, CHRP named Chief Executive Officer
Lynn
joins the CCHRA as CEO following a distinguished career at Canada
Post Corporation most recently as Vice-President of Human Resources.
She’s also held line positions as General Manager of Marketing,
Sales and Retail. Her background also includes solid experience
in management consulting and in Board and Community development.
Lynn
graduated from École des Hautes Études Commericals
with a Masters in Business Administration and from Concordia University
with a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management and Marketing.
She is a proud CHRP.
Lynn’s
objective is to build and lead a small and dynamic team that will
work with the provincial associations to deliver the CCHRA’s
vision, enhance the benefit of the CHRP designation and promote
the profession.
Stephanie Duff joins the Ottawa team as Administrative Coordinator
Stephanie
Duff joins Lynn in Ottawa as Administrative Coordinator. She is
working as an assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, with and
for the Provincial Associations in exam administration, as well
as with and for subcommittees of the CCHRA Board of Directors in
meeting planning and preparation.
She
has a degree in English Literature from Trent University and experience
in admin/data entry. Stephanie is fluently bilingual.
Stephanie’s
goal is to create and maintain a customer service-oriented environment
where the needs of the Associations, and therefore their members,
can be most effectively met.
