HRANB Membership Types

Full Membership - $100/year (+ HST)
Full membership status is available to any person currently working as a Human Resource Practitioner where more than 70% of their time is spent directly involved in HR activities. Included in this category are individuals holding HR positions within organizations, consultants and educators.

Full members have voting privileges and are eligible to serve in all executive and committee positions.

Associate Membership - $100/year (+ HST)
This includes individuals who have an interest in Human Resource Management but do not qualify for full membership.

Associate members do not have voting privileges and are not eligible for offer election, but may serve on committees.

Student Membership - $35/year (+ HST)
Student memberships are open to persons registered full-time in a post-secondary program of studies leading to a certificate or degree with specialization in Human Resource Management.

Student members must submit proof of registration for each year of membership. Student members pay reduced membership fees, are not eligible to serve in executive or committee chairperson positions, and do not have voting privileges.

Retired Members - $35/year (+ HST)
Retired status is available to HRANB members that are fully retired from human resources practice, as long as they have remained members of the Association for at least five continuous years immediately prior to retirement. CHRP designees who have transferred in within the five year period also qualify, as long as their designation has been maintained continously during this period.

Members on Leave
Those on maternity, parental or extended disability leave: prorated rate based on the number of months of leave.

Honorary Membership
Honorary membership may be conferred on persons who are considered to have made outstanding contributions to the field of Human Resource management. Nominations for this honour may be made by any Full Member, with the decision resting with the Executive.

Honorary members have voting privileges and may hold Executive office, but do not pay any membership fees.
