As a Certified Human Resource Professional, I will
commit to abide by the Profession's Code of Ethics. I will demonstrate
a high standard of practice as a human resources professional and
encourage and foster ethical behaviour in my profession and my workplace.
As a certified Human Resource Professional, I shall:
- continue my professional growth in Human Resource
Management, in support and promotion of the goals, objectives
and by-laws of the Association;
- support, promote and apply the principles of human
rights and dignity in my workplace and community;
- adhere to any statutory acts, regulations or by-laws
which relate to the field of human resource management;
- treat information obtained in the course of business
as confidential;
avoid, or disclose, any potential conflict of interest which might
influence personal actions or judgements;
- refrain from using a position of trust to receive
special benefits or gain for myself, employees, employers, associates
and the HRANB;
- acknowledge the original developers of material
and concepts that I may use in my professional practice and observe
all laws and restrictions of copyright;
- strive to balance organizational and employee needs
and interests in the practice of my profession; and
- support other HR professionals in their adherence
to this Code of Ethics.
